You may have looked at our methods for project deployment, planning and coordination already (or not), and there’s another tool we use to ensure clarity on deployment status: The Asset Tracker.
This tool tracks deployment across activities against each application, so it has good detail for coordinating between a customer and RedShield where each app is at.
Stages are usually something like:
- SSL Cert
- DNS Cutover
- Tuning (and Alerting)
- Blocking
- Firewall Lockdown.
As we can deploy hundreds of apps, we often group these apps into priority groups for clarity and then link these groups to tickets.
As a customer you can have visibility of this, or the summary dashboard which may look similar to this:
