As a customer you have a choice in how we deploy your shields to protect against new vulnerabilities identified in your monthly scans: 1) We "NOTIFY" you of a default window; or 2) We agree a change window which you "APPROVE". So what’s the difference? and when are they used?
"NOTIFY" is ideal for low and very low risk shield deployments (we don't have issues on these shields), giving you an option to change to APPROVE if you wish, but if nothing is said, then you don't need to do anything to increase your protection. It is faster and very easy for you: We notify you, We book it, we deploy it, we tell you - Resolved
“APPROVE” is best for shields identified as medium risk or above, allowing an appropriate time and date to manage any potential impacts. While these are unlikely, we know managing potential impacts is extremely important. With the APPROVE approach we work with you to implement the change or roll it back if necessary. Managed risk and full control for you: You book it, we deploy it, you test it, you tell us - Resolved.
So how and when do you choose? Basically we will advise you through our Zendesk ticket which option suits the shields proposed, and continue that approach until the vulnerability is resolved. We won’t automatically deploy medium risk and above.
